Research
Research with the sources on the table.
Atlas searches the live web, reads the pages that matter, and cites every one it relied on.
Answers you can check.
Before you rely on it, a source check looks for any number or link that does not appear in what Atlas actually read.
- Numbered citations inline, with the sources listed underneath
- What sources say, kept apart from recommendations
- A failing answer is rewritten once by a more capable engine
- “Try again” keeps every answer, so you can compare them
How a research answer is built.
Research requests go to the engine that leads for research, Gemini by default.
Plan the question
Multi-part questions are split, and each part is looked up. For live questions, newest pages come first.
Search the right way
One provider per question, from Google results, Brave, Tavily, Exa and Perplexity, by kind, budget and health.
Rank and read
Official sources first, then wire services and major outlets, then reference sites, forums last.
Answer with citations
Every page relied on is cited by name and link, numbered inline like [1] with the list underneath.
Check the sources
Numbers in no source, and links to sites never retrieved, fail the check. The better answer is kept and labelled.
Try asking
- Compare Postgres and MySQL for an analytics workload, with sources.
- What changed in the EU AI Act timeline this year?
- Who leads Nvidia today, and how is the stock trading?
- Summarize the three most cited papers on retrieval-augmented generation.
Compare engines side by side
On Pro and Elite, Compare runs the same question on every engine at once. Keep the answer you trust.
How Compare worksPrivate data stays private
Once a conversation includes your files, photos or app data, any search Atlas words itself waits for your approval.
Search providers receive the search query, not your conversation. The source check flags made-up details; it cannot prove an answer right, so review sources for important decisions. Google Drive is built and waiting on Google’s verification review.
